public corporations are required to report accurate financial information in a timely manner to shareholders and the public. Tomorrow we will get information that is essentially 45 days old - it is comprehensive and obviously requires a lot of effort to create.

Why would Amazon need to get insider information about the financial performance of Whole Foods?

this idea that management can share material information to insiders that are participating in the market is ridiculous
