I wish there was some way to get to the truth. Any problems with the FAA could be sorted out later as Songbird was brought back to life. The deal itself should be closed by now and the focus should be on getting Songbird back in the air. They flew last year, they can fly again no doubt. No reason I can think of why the FAA would stop Songbird from "Restarting". Even if there was some waiting on the C Check, that is still to be done "around" the time of Closing so that should not stop this from closing either, and who really thinks that check will fail anyways? Isn't Aerline pretty much underwriting that the plane will pass that check? There appears to be no excuse for the deal to not be done and be moving forward.
