IMO it could be some of both those things. Here's a copy of the numbers from their filings 2013 - 2016:
Total Revenue 315.678; 284.165; 92.895; 63.807; so theyre down considerably. Strangely I cant find a similar number in their latest report but it would only be a 9 mths number anyways.
The FFO theyre reporting is fine but one must look at the whole package as companies always promote their best foot forward and FFO is just one small part.
Production is growing so that's good.
They don't do comparisons of sales though so that makes me wonder what theyre hiding.
They give excuses for the Q net loss.
I guess it comes down to whether oil is in recovery mode and whether you feel the company will survive to become again what it once was.
