The greatest thing anyone can ever do for us is to die for us in our place. That is exactly what Jesus Christ did for us. Romans 3:21-31 says:
"But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished-- he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law. Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith."
If you want to invite Jesus into your heart and life, pray the following prayer. If you truly mean it, you are saved. You will have everlasting life with Jesus Christ in Heaven. It is as simple as ABC (Admit, Believe Confess): Admit that you have sin in your life and that you want to change, Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, was born of a virgin, was crucified on Calvary's cross for our sins, rose on the 3rd day, and ascended into Heaven where He now sits at the right hand of God. Confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life. Jesus said He is the only way to the Father. There is no other way. Truly repent of your sins and start living the life as a follower of Jesus Christ.
Dear Jesus, I repent of my sins and turn from my prior sinful life. Please be the Lord of my life. I ask that you come into my heart and help me live by Your example. Thank you for dying on the cross and taking my punishment to save me! I believe God raised you from the dead and I thank you for the hope of heaven and salvation. Amen
