Given the projected growth rates for the industry, seems likely that there will be consolidation at some point. DDD may get taken out by bigger players.
However, wouldn't go so far as to say that there's no market for the company's products. Annual revenues still running in the $600MM range, nothing to sneeze at but they've been stuck here for three years now.
They've spent the better part of this year trying to fix mistakes from the previous regime. That should be more than enough time to get 'er done. They've got to start growing the top line again or the board will have to start entertaining offers for a buyout.
