I think the main point is that the "tool" makes it too easy to create a downward push ...

If you compare the position of the company now vs 5 years ago .. the risk profile of failure is much lower however the PPS does not reflects it.

In other words this is not a level playfield, of course it was never a level playfield ... but one thing is playing with insider information..another is with HFT.
