I use my OTTV box in my bedroom TV. I use the ROKU streaming stick in my home office and Purchased a Roku Ultra for the family room. I purchased qty 2 bar shaped antenna that I hide behind the family room and bedroom TV’s able to pick up 17 HD quality local channels. I live about 130 miles south of cook county Chicago. I’m wireless to the OTTV box in my bedroom and the ROKU stick in my office. I’m hard wired to the ROKU Ultra in a wiring closet off the family room into my Xfinity Router (150 meg service) that I have about a 50 ft HDMI cable I ran under the crawl space up the gas fireplace chimney up to my TV mounted above the fireplace in my family room. I could have just as easily connected WiFi to the Ultra placed it at the TV location then feed HDMI to my TV. The family room TV is also a Sony Smart TV and once the app is available I think I will be able to eliminate the ROKU router. Not sure just yet. Hope that helps. I have not seen any difference in performance between the stick and the Ultra other than the Ultra remote has voice control which I’ve yet to play with yet.
