LOL, mining shares need to go down? If gold went higher the mining shares would look more attractive too. My take is that no one is looking at the miners now. The sector is so out of favor that nobody cares. Everybody is in what I'd call the regular stock market....tech, Bitcoin, everything that's driving the Dow and Nasdaq higher. The Pure Speculation side of the market.
On another subject, I just saw economist, Robert Prechter of Elliott Wave fame talking on Fox Business about how this bull market is getting very long in the tooth, then he started comparing this market to the 1929 and 1966 markets. He said a vicious bear market is coming. Complacency is rampant and the VIX has been at record lows for too long. Prechter has been accurate in his predictions from the past.
