Did you pay any attention to their last press release talking specifically about this? They specifically stated that the monthly searches for these terms are extremely low and that is why they are focusing their time on other forms of high-quality traffic. Do a little keyword research yourself and you will see... All the top terms probably do not have more than 150,000 total monthly searches combined.
They even put some stats in that press release stating that the top term, CBD oil, only gets 74000 monthly searches.
I know what you are going to say, that they at least need to be trying to capture those searches, but in reality I think they have the right strategy by focusing on other forms of high-quality larger amounts of traffic that they can control... because even if they wrote some content articles and started ranking in those terms, even being on the first page they would only capture a fraction of the search traffic.
They know what they are doing...
