Buddy, I by no means, not at all actually, referred to you as a basher!! I'm sorry that is what you took out of the post! I started off saying that I understand and agree where you were coming from.. just used an exaggerated story to get the point across that they weren't ready for any type of big advertisement campaign yet! If what we think has been happening behind close doors is true, they have been preparing and finalizing everything for their upcoming hard launch, which I'm sure will include a very nice advertising campaign! Prior to a hard launch there was no point in spending the money on a product not yet ready to deploy to the masses.. it would have been a complete waste, actually doing more harm than good! After their soft launch period, it was all word of mouth and networking, which during this phase you are correct the company sent out flyers, banners, and signs to those that requested it and wanted to help spread the word. And just an FYI buddy, along with yourself, I was one of those other "few" you mentioned involved that was willing to put their time and work in to supporting this company! It's all boils down to cost per subscriber.. and with the product not being fully ready.. a small trickle of subscribers from "free" word of mouth was the best way to work out the bugs! Didn't cost them anything but some ink and paper.. and if they lost a few subscribers due to a few bumps and bugs while getting everything ready, it wouldn't take away from the future customer base! Again, a part of their success will be about cost per subscriber and subscriber retention rate! So again, I'm sorry you took my comment as anything other than a reply to your original post, and that being that any advertisement money spent would have been a waste as the product was not ready!
