Benji: I just read your post to basserdan. Very good. But have you ever tried to smoke gold bullion? First it's kinda hard to light up. And once lit with your blowtorch it's a bit rough on the throat.

I now see where you're coming from and I guess I could've worded it a bit differently, but the difference, as I see it, is the tobbaco industry knows 'up front' of the evil it spawns while the PM's more or less simply react to renewed terrorist acts because of the added destabilization they cause.

Historically, gold has increased in value during periods of destabilization, but hasn't, to my knowledge, been the catalyst for those periods.

If that isn't very clear, kindly blame it on the hour.....
