I don't see anything about the FAA or GE in regards to certfiying the Additive manufacturing process nor inspection techniques that would limit or nullify the need for post process inspection of each part.
Perhaps you are reading between the lines a little too hard like Kanya.
And that started in 2006, now I haven't read thru all 243 pages of the official FAA document on ODA designation, but I'm sure it most likely doesn't account for approving critical to life AM parts nor the process.
