I think there is a plan to cover the Great Lakes with Solar Panels. It's been done before and a great use of solar panels. Also, by covering bodies of water with panels, this will help reduce the warming of the bodies of water and cut off evaporation causing huge snow storms in the Northeast (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake-effect_snow). Great thought but it is any ones guess and I may be full of S&$t.
