#91383 RE: Robodog #91382

There is nothing to let go. My intention was to inform those who felt it may have been a requirement, and some did, that it is not. End of story. Reading into words seems to be a specialty on the board. Bet on it! Will happen! Going to fly!

As a former communications director for a large international corporation, our goal was always to strive to ensure any meaning taken from a release or statement such as John Lampl's, is not misconstrued. I was surprised he did not elaborate further to ensure there was no misunderstanding.

A cynic may have said it is intentional while others might say it does not matter. As a professional you always should ensure the meaning is quite clear. If you have to explain something you did not do your job.

Mr. Lampl should have said the company has chosen to put a news blackout into effect on the purchase of Songbird until the deal is complete. Why?
The answer is simple. Pink sheet companies are suspect simply because they are pink sheets and the rules regarding disclosure are lax to non-existent; and Mr. Lampl knowing the context of his statement should understand the games pink sheets company's play - I don't even want to begin listing examples of pink sheets stating they are following a required regulation when in fact the regulation does not apply to them but many assume it does. Context is important and in the context of being a pink sheet issuer, he has to ensure he, as the communications director, is very clear.

Some still might say they are hiding something but at least the impression they were putting into force a required blackout period would not exist, removing any doubt as to the intention of his statement. Some always will try to find motive, the job of communications is to ensure you are forthright and up front.
