To be totally honest, there just is not enough information to know if this is just a short term trading play or if there is in fact a real multi billion dollar company merging into this shell.
That being said, it is curious to me that there has been no communication to shareholders. Most often, when things like this occur, there is at least a little pep talk and assurances via a press release. He did it via Greek or Cyprus Press. Seems he would want to promote this deal in the United States as well, if for no other reason than to create interest here, as well as in Cyprus. It did not take him very long to publicize it there.
And, if you have the experience to trade this adroitly, you can make money playing this. However, if you have any doubts or are just not really experienced enough, I'd watch this and save that lesson for down the road.
