When you buy or sell a stock they just get it from some other trader and sell it to you for com. But when you buy an option they are booking that trade or 90 % of them. They pay or collect and they cant lay it off like a bookie trading with book from other home team, they own it. And options make 1/4 to 1/2 billion dollars a day every day. imo
