Are you able to separate stock price activity from the company itself?

For example ...

#1. Stock price movement - Higher

#2. Company - Stay away due to concerns, history.

In other words, STOCK = buy COMPANY = sell

I am buying the stock, not the company right now. My hunch has been right so far, but no guarantees this will continue.
