"Paper has been used forever and that's what people trust." And before that people traded and got paid with with goats and sheep, and after that coins. People also used to meet in the town square to buy and sell stocks. Aren't we glad we continue to move forward. Blockchain is the future whether we like it or not. And that will include voting. There was a time when we thought buying items from a Sears and Roebuck was the wave of the future and we never dreamed that someday we would be buying items electronically from a device in our home or from a hand held pocket phone.
