I was talking about the very basic logistics of a stock moving up in price.
But, yes, behind the needing buyers issue is the fact that buyers need a reason to buy. It's either belief or faith (which hasn't cut it for a year now) or an event that causes them to buy.
And that's where the opinions and debates come in. Personally, I think the delay in that event (gold sales) wouldn't have caused such a dip in price if we had more consistent and effective communication from management. Some disagree, which is their right. But, objectively, what would investors have to go on? Honestly, that's all we really have. It's not like we have piles of profits to get excited about yet.
