a naked short---well.....let's say ouch has gotten his SECOND million fro his TKO investment (the first million, remember, he was gonna fo to Texas and attract beautiful young blonds by flashing his money)....Sooooo, he calls up his broker and says...Hey there! Listen, will you sell about 100,000 shares of ABC for me? Oh I know I gotta send you the money to buy them, you know I am good for it, I'll get the money to you, as soon as I leave Texas....so the broker, who knows Ouch is good for the money, sells 100,000 shares, and puts the moeny in the stock bank for Ouch...and then Ouch sends his check to his broker, by way of that clear water lake in Siberia (he wanted to see it for himself)....so it takes a l-o-n-g time to get to the broker....and the bad thing is this--those shares were never really there to sell--the broker made 'em up, intending to buy them when the money came in....and then when Ouch gets back home, he uses the money that was placed in his stock bank, to buy the shares at a cheap price (which is what happens to the price of a stock when it is naked) and then when the clothes are put on the stock, and it becomes more valuable, he sells them at the higher price---again!
