Another AIMer and I had just returned from The Money Show in Orlando, FL with a head full of new information. One of the best presentations we'd heard was from James Stack of Investech.com. At the time he showed us a series of the most scary slides I've ever witnessed as an investor. He had a list of 10 or 12 indicators he used to shine a clear light on what market "Tops" looked like. At the time 90% of them were showing extreme bearishness with the remaining 10% nearing the same extreme levels. I'd have to do some digging to find those charts and indicators. I believe they made it through my "purge" when I moved out of my office of 30 years this summer.

Mr. Stack has been quite good about calling market bottoms as well. I don't read his newsletter (or anyone else's for that matter) but at the time I was suitably impressed. Here's a recent article that refers to his ideas:
