A) read between the lines means "infer what is not written" it does not mean "read every other line"
B) it's a figure of speech not even used to refer to written words. The person was saying the pieces of the puzzle are coming together from all directions. I don't even believe he was talking about the tweet and if he was, he was not saying "read every other line of the tweet"
