SCIE Cancer Diagnostics WavSTAT Optical Biopsy System®

For those who are new to SCIE... SCIE is a medical device company that through their WavSTAT Optical Biopsy System®, uses light and its interaction with human tissue to diagnose pre-cancers. They actually look at small structures within the human body and properly diagnose them before they become truly cancerous. They do this further by touching these small structures with an optical fiber, interrogating them with light, then giving the answer to a clinician in one second. This is safer for the patient because you don’t have to cut out any tissue and send it to the lab… it’s faster for the clinician because he gets his results virtually instantaneously… and it’s less expensive for the healthcare system. Their only competition is a product that costs roughly 3 times the amount of their product.

Before reading any further and looking at the video at the end of this post, I think it is important for all to read this important post below courtesy of yankee2 as it should help to understand the importance of what is owned by SCIE to help within the cancer arena to possibly revolutionize the medical world:

SCIE acquired the assets of a small company that has the prototype product for diagnosing cancer in a condition known as Barrett's Esophagus. Their product is in the lower GI and this product from their new acquisition is in the upper GI and will save them a year to a year and a half in product development. They also acquired the exclusive license for the underline technology for that particular product from Duke University.

SCIE had some seminal research that was done and presented at a large Gastrointestinal Endoscopy conference. That research showed that the SCIE product exceeded the clinical standards that the medical societies wanted to have for products in their category. That research is now published in the pear review journal in the April 2016 issue of the Endoscopy Magazine.

SCIE has engaged a sales representation group to represent their products in the Middle East. They also showed their products to Arab Health, they trained 8 doctors in the Kuwait, and is in the process of finalizing their Distribution Agreements in the Middle East:

From the Research and Development Phase to the Distribution and Sales Phase, which is where they are at today, took 3.5 years to achieve. In my opinion, the timing is right for them to be moving forward in some significant ways. I am expecting some significant updates in the near future.
