Who do you think paid the expenses to develop the original products? They didn't take the company public based on an idea. They had gearing that no one had seen before. I know two engineers who sat a Vernon's kitchen table and drooled over the gears. They weren't drawings they were actual gears. The Gleasman family had a ton of skin in the game, MUCH more than Kaplan. Kaplan had TG's ear, which was huge to the companies survival. I have distain for Jim Gleasman but I always understood their investment and passion.
