#42330 RE: pickered #42328

It IS crystal clear.....that patent suite is analogous to the pile of gold., which is what I said. And I DID provide clear evidence for that....by delineating all the monies that would be brought in from the patent suite in the form of infringement fines, licensing & sale. I noted that those elements, times all the infringing companies, would, using some basic math, amount to extremely high figures, ie, a pile of gold. Of course THAT is ONLY IF the patent suite turned out to be "all it has been cracked up to be, which I don't think it is and I have made THAT clear as well. I stated that never in history has a "pile of gold" (in any form) been left ignored by many & left for someone else to scoop up. All of that is crystal clear concepts. The only thing not crystal clear is if the patents are indeed all that or not, which is why I always insert "if" in the scenario. Still, it is a clear concept that "if" the patents are all that (and I already described what all that entails), then things would not be as they are because all the other voip companies would be risking too much. No, risk is the wrong word. IF the patents were all that, then all the monies they would bring (from all those companies) would be an INEVITABILITY, not a risk. It would simply be just a matter of time (until all the courts sorted it all out), but would still come to pass. I further validated the fact that none of what needs to be known about the patents is or has been a secret. I did so by pointing out that all that has been touted about the patents by vplm has been published in all the major financial media (such as NY times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, and on & on, going back for years & I personally posted some of those news items here, from time to time. I also pointed out that since Microsoft had applied for a very similar LI patent which clearly shows they were aware of the vplm LI patent. I noted as well, that since the nature of the patents was so "foundational" and totally controlling to the VoIP industry, that it is obvious all those players experts would have used high level DD to determine if the patents were all that or not. Not saying that every single company did so, but I think it's obvious that many must have because of the stakes. So there is the "BIG IF" scenario & everything is spelled out clearly and validated with common sense. Indisputable & clear.
