While I'm disappointed it has taken so long to enter the market, it's clearly demonstrated by the market that qdots have taken some time to make entry into premium displays.
They were introduced by Samsung in 2015. No other OEMs have delivered a qdot display to the US market to date, that I'm aware. I've only seen Samsung at Best Buy.
To me, I don't think QMC is missing any boat yet. The majority of the ships are just now getting ready to leave the dock.
I expect and hope QMC will be one of those supplying those other OEMs for their 2018 product releases.
I think we will be pleasantly surprised about the value of our investment in the next 3-4 months.
