#121154 RE: nisse44 #121141

Nisse; I am no fan of the a-shares (both in general, and especially for SIAF), but I will double down on that timing is important here!

What do you think will happen if we get a PR today that Solomon&co has cancelled their a-shares? Within a few hours some shareholders would demand an extraordinary general meeting where our *insert swear-word here* BOD is to be replaced (how many shareholders has to join for SIAF to HAVE to have such a meeting?). If we do have such a meeting, how many members of the current BOD/management do you expect will be with SIAF at the end of this year? Tony should be safe, but I doubt that there will any other...

So what do you end up with? SIAF without it's BOD and management, all processes (F-1, TRW loan, CA-deals) halted (or even destroyed), Solomons goodwill (from other companies) wasted etc etc. Is that what we want?

Even a mad man at the steering wheel is better than noone at the steering wheel, hence we need to get someone - who can (at least partially) steer a boat - close to the steering wheel so that there is SOME controll on SIAF when the mad man is gone.

Actually, I don't think it would be wise to get rid of Solomon all together - what we want is to have his good sides without his bad sides, if that is possible. At the moment getting rid of the a-shares is very likely the same as getting rid of Solomon, but a bit further down the road (after the F-1, TRW-loan and/or CA-deal) this will not be true anymore.

Also; without the a-shares we might have attempts of hostile take-overs. Many of us would refuse pretty much every offer, but there are a lot of shareholders who have bought shares at 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 and many of them might be rather relieved to get say 5$/share (or maybe even 3$?).

Defending his actions? Well, some actions are defendable, but I have by no means defended every of his actions... Just take a look at my posts and you will see that I am no stranger to bashing! :-) I am not happy with how BOD has steered SIAF and I fear that we have a case of reckless driving, but how will it help that the driver jumps out of the car if everyone else is in the caravan?
