I am concerned that this decision could have a major effect on SUNW and other solar companies in USA.



The extra cost may slow the sales of solar panels, while at the same time with solar panel plants operating in this country they will create decent paying jobs which would create more customers for solar panels.

Not too much info is being given to digest. There are 3 reasons (i can think of) why the case is not so important.
1) tariffs or no tariffs we have a 30% ITC credit until 2020. This credit covers the cost of installing solar. If the tariff increases the cost by 30cents/W, then the price of a 7KW system increases by $1400.
2) the US gov will probably lose out on the tariff because of the significant reduction in income taxes payable. If the gov doesn't benefit, then it's not interested.
3) Going in favor of the SEIA ( sunworks, sunpower...) Mr. T. has an opportunity to reach out to tree hugging blue voters. Political play.

You are surprised that this forum isn't covering the suniva case. I'm surprised ELON MUSK didn't say anything...
