Golden Goose Resources Inc. - Magino drilling discovers new high-grade gold zone - MONTREAL, March 9 /CNW Telbec/ - (TSX-V: GGR) -
Golden Goose Resources Inc. - is pleased to announce that drilling at The Magino Gold Mine property - near Wawa, Ontario, has encountered a new type of high grade mineralization.
The intersection, which graded 11.1 grams of gold per tonne over a core length of 10.5 metres (uncut), is approximately 400 vertical metres below surface, and 200 metres to the south of the previous Magino mine workings.

The intercept was located at the contact between a massive sulphide and an exhalite formation which lie stratigraphically below the granodiorite formation which hosts the known resources on the property. There has been no previous drilling in this formation in the area of this intercept. This gold zone is present in the exhalite, which is directly in contact with a felsic intrusive (QFP). The gold is disseminated in massive sulphides, and in a stockwork of quartz veins in the QFP. The QFP is host to quartz veins containing visible gold. The massive sulphide consists of two bands of 1 and 2 metres widths, essentially composed of pyrite and pyrhotite with up to 2% of chalcopyrite. The hole also returned the following copper values:

"This discovery opens up a new exploration angle for the Magino project and we intend to aggressively follow up on this new zone," says Golden Goose President and CEO, Jean-Marc Lacoste. The new formation was discovered on the fourth hole of a 14,000-metre program which began in November, 2006. The drilling program also provided numerous drill intercepts in the granodiorite formation, also below existing resources, which appear to extend several known zones of mineralization at depth. The results are presented in the following table ("true width" not yet determined):
