Apparatus for Tree Trimming and Tree Maintenance

Publication number: 20160192595

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an apparatus preferably coupled to a boom on a truck, the apparatus capable of a plurality of configurations for a variety of applications. In one configuration, the apparatus can perform rapid semi-precise cutting of vegetation. In another configuration, the apparatus can perform more precise trimming of one or more areas (e.g., limbs) and optionally use a limb clamp to prevent cut limbs/vegetation from arbitrarily falling on objects below the cutting area. In yet another configuration, the apparatus can have a grapple or similar device attached to the end of the boom for use in relocating debris or for loading debris into a removal facility such as dump or garbage truck. In each configuration, the apparatus comprises one or more rotatable or pivoting couplings to allow for rotation about one or more axis and therefore allow precise manipulation from an operator in the vehicle or on the ground.

Apparatus for general tree trimming or precision tree trimming having an aerial tank

Patent number: 9301458

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an apparatus preferably coupled to a boom on a truck, the apparatus capable of a plurality of configurations for a variety of uses. In one configuration, the apparatus can perform rapid semi-precise cutting of vegetation. In another configuration, the apparatus can perform more precise trimming of one or more areas (e.g., limbs) and optionally use an aerial tank mounted at the far end of a boom assembly. Typically the aerial tank will be mounted just beneath the attachment of the cutter head assembly to the boom and above one or more insulation couplings. In some disclosed embodiments, the aerial tank that can be remotely controlled. The aerial tank can be used as a liquid chemical supply or cleaning liquid supply as needed for various tree trimming tasks.

Apparatus for controlling irrigation water pH for golf courses

Patent number: 4867192

Abstract: An automatically controlled irrigation water pH amendment system and apparatus associated with golf courses utilizing automatic irrigation systems to irrigate the various species of turf grasses used on fairways, tees, greens and other areas; being adapted to receive an operator pre-selected program of desired irrigation water pH value; to monitor the delivered pH value of the irrigation water and automatically blend into the irrigation water in the flow circuit between the discharge of the irrigation pump station pumps and the pH monitoring point the proper amount of chemical additive to amend--raise or lower--the pH of the delivered irrigation water. The desideratum is a uniformly blended mixture of liquid acid or base chemical with irrigation water to maintain a solution of the water pH value desired by the operator to promote proper agronomic practice in the maintenance of the turf grasses.
