That day in mid-Feb. was earnings day, and company reported what i think was their all-time record-high EPS of 0.11 (until Q3 reported in mid-May saw an even higher 0.14 EPS posted).

As for the even strong trading volume day/days last Fall, that was during the huge run-up in early Nov. on the buying frenzy in the shipping sector.
