If the essential multiple level testing of mb or wb are not successful and there is contamination they will need to start again.
They are using frozen cells to begin the cloning and these are unpredictable.
After encapsulation there will be more testing for validation.
Until the cells are validated they have no idea how long the process will take and it would be irresponsible of them to say otherwise. They would look foolish in front of their medical advisors.
I believe them.
Until they have full validation and descriptions of the cells they can't submit the ind.
The big question is why they started so late. 5 months after the pre ind.
