Forbes reported "The North American marijuana market posted $6.7 billion in revenue in 2016." That was in January 2017.
The notion that BLDV would ever be valued at $2.4 billion --nearly 1/3rd the entire current market of both the US and Canada-- is both laughable and delusional IMO.
Legalization -when it hits- will result in more competition and lower prices. Without the threat of prison time, unlicensed growers will likely explode as well. While consumption will certainly increase, cutthroat competition always means smaller and smaller slivers of the pie for everyone.
Again, the licensed grower sector that's already established is already complaining about the need to be more efficient and cost conscious in light of falling prices. This is coming from people who have large scale, functioning operations and proven sales. Whereas BLDV currently does not have a pot with a single MJ plant in it. Until they do, all the speculation about it being worth billions remains a fantasy.
