He’s a lame duck. None of his GSE bills have gone anywhere. I highly doubt they will on his way out.

He is probably retiring because he no longer has political clout and he will get exposed under ethics violations if he goes for another term. He has made wise decision but he needs to maintain low profile and retire asap.

I was thinking the same thing. As someone else mentioned he is a lame duck and probably will not gain any support for his assassination plans for the G.S.E.s. He may however make enough news and noise to keep the stocks volitile while he shorts them.
