Over-all, up volume has been monstrous compared to down volume..

I'm not disputing your supposition that there have been meaningful institutional bids. But, if I may, what about yesterday "felt like end of the quarter selling to make their books look good"? If that was true and re-balancing was going on yesterday, you'd have see higher volume prints.
