Thanks to NewJerichoMan for the important observation (see quote below). Now, nearing the end of the first GH product cycle, comparative measures of revenues are indeed lower (because revenues were front-loaded). However, net margins are (substantially) higher than at the beginning of the product cycle and, because GLUC continues to control expenses, the bottom-line improves.
