SBLK, CPTMatt, re "curious action in SBLK. Last time the BDI was this high SBLK was around $50"

Flip side to that is, the last time the BDI was this high, SBLK had less than one-fifth the number of shares outstanding then they have now. The Market Cap is actually higher right now, then the last time SBLK hit $50/share.

SBLK shares outstanding:

June 30, 2017: 63.3 million
year end 2016: 47.6 million
year end 2015: 39.1 million
year end 2014: 11.7 million
year end 2013: 2.8 million

BDI -27 to 1476, finally a down day and overdue for a correction. My index of dry bulk shippers peaked up 47% YTD on 9/11 and has dipped about 10% since then despite the BDI uptrend. A divergence that probably reflected anticipation of a big pullback in the BDI ... it's had two 35%+ corrections in the past year. Eventually there'll be another, but looks good long term.

I've been adding trading shares in SB and SBLK on this pullback.

CPTMatt...

How did you create the chart for SBLK stock price divided by BDI? I'd like to create a chart like that to compare two similar stocks.

Thanks
