I saw Hendrix stoned to the gills play his guitar with uncanny and weird skill and then pour lighter fluid on his guitar, light it on fire and smash it to smithereens. I watched a bit more and got bored and tuned in the football game.
I popped in to see the young Dylan on a 1967 Brit tour. He was headstrong and full of himself but, man, was he tuned into the times.
The Stones were next at Altamont and I turned it off.
It was a different time and a different place and I wasn't there.
