fabius....in my haste I worded it poorly. I did mean the new partner (Purdue?) would pay the cost of the studies for Rexista but no upfront money. Let's hope he can reason this out with his alter ego and hope the one with "common sense" wins.
Yep Rexista is only the 1st of what could/should be a multitude of other opioids and painkillers/narcotics IPCI's nPODDS and PODRAS proprietary delivery technologies can be applied to.
So it's beyond foolish to do anything but partner Rexista for anything they can get so they can get on with the biz of unleashing the true inherent value in their pipeline!
That's what we ALL thought Dr. Odidi was gonna do but he foolishly didn't recognize it ahead of Rexista adcom...so now we wait to see if CFO Patience recognizes it.
What would Odidi rather have at this point...a deal on Rexista with a big partner that can advance Rexista to commercialization...or continue to sit on Rexista and keep the entire value of his brilliant and proprietary game changing nPODDS and PODRAS delivery technologies buried in a non-moving pipeline right!
In an ideal world Odidi should've partnered Rexista several months ago...and now in his time of weakness he needs to forget about any upfront lucrative payment and just partner the damn thing exactly as you just laid out.
Over the next 10 years IPCI could be generating BILLIONS of dollars and launch those 20 additional opioid based NDA's they've said they're sitting on...but their window of opportunity to do so now depends on whether or not they can get off their butts, eat some humble pie and partner Rexista already so they can get on with the show!
Without proving Rexista and/or PODRAS...all 20 of their other opioid based NDA's are dead in the water!
