abh- it's funny that he said

he's playing less stocks with more in each and for longer periods as that's exactly what I've been doing lately. Cohen also said his hold times are increasing- so are mine lately. In fact, my average hold was only around a month-six weeks from 2004-May 2006. There is one thing Steve didn't say that I think could work well, and just the opposite, and that's shorting. Of course the % profits would be less, but the turnover rate of stocks might even be greater. I am not used to shorting though, and it is obviously riskier as downside is unlimited. However, I think I'll start to dable with a little shorting soon and see how it goes. If my assumptions are right about the major indexes being way too high, then there are hundereds of cyclicals that would still be good short candidates. Wade

abh3vt: OT, He is some kind of money maker. Same hometown, 1 year age difference. Never met him, damn shame! LOL

You would think after a billion or so dollars these guys would relax and retire. I guess it just becomes an obsession. I don't think that his experiences say much for what most of us do.
