I believe it's a nothing burger article that merely encourages speculation. As witnessed today.

I believe that is correct. It only makes sense that this device, being a government neccesity, would receive funding from Ottawa.

I watched an interview on youtube a while back with Kal and he was posed the question of the companys financial situation. He informed the man they were a well funded company outside of investors. Funded by whom? He made no mention. Its quite feasible that its government since the device is primarily being created for their use.

Keep in mind the government cannot outright say they are working with a 3rd party on a device as that would increase public skepticism and validity of such a device. If they say "the federal government is working on a device." the general public would be less inclined to question it.
