If your in this business for long you find that the coin stories abound. Some are real, most are not. Its rather ironic that some years ago a colleague from Daytona Beach and I sat in a elderly mans house and we too were shown pieces of eight he supposedly found on the beach in the general Melbourne area. Looking into the matter further we came to learn the story was B.S. although the coins were real. He had at some time past bought them. This was his personal attention getter with treasure hunters who would commonly show up on his door step who (like us) were dying to know exactly where he found the coins. Ran into a similar experience over on the west coast of Florida as well. Point is, with all these alleged coins having been found on the beach (I personally don't believe it) why can't this outfit find the source? Its called a shipwreck. The probable answer falls into two categories. There is no shipwreck although there's past evidence of wreck flotsam having submerged there. (what I personally believe). Or its incompetence, meaning there's a shipwreck there but they're incapable of finding it. Take your choice. I'm inclined to believe the first; Flotsam. As said before, for the sake of the shareholders I'd like to share their excitement of actually being this shipwreck found but that doesn't seem to be in the cards to date.
