Re -- gallstones-- reminds me of an oyster and how it makes a pearl - layer by layer over a goodly length of time. Could it be a nano effect there as well? Wouldn't surprise me! There, of course, it is an irritant that the pearl covers over to eliminate the effects of the irritant - and it continues seemingly forever till the pearl itself becomes an irritant? Who knows!
