GE is giving us the lucky opportunity to buy shares at $2.75. If we choose not to, and as of right now why would anyone? He can likely pull a stunt to buy them all and resume majority ownership.
I believe if everyone was to exercise their full right he would lose his over arching power. This obviously wont happen as even if the price was above much of his shareholders are likely scared or half broke.
