Well, besides the valid points dms1 made in his post, they claim rightly that Cd is toxic, but neglect the fact that their Pb is equally toxic.
They say it is expensive to make QD, which is true of batch process but not QMC automated process, so it is poorly researched.
They don't say what they mean by large scale, so just guess.
They say that subbing out the Pb would yield a less commercial product that frankly is unlikely to sell. I would guess the project managers are trying cover their arses due to the huge waste of money they have cost Fuji. You may buy this garbage but I don't believe sane people will.
