Washington D.C.- 60 Members of Congress, led by Congressman John Conyers, Jr. (D-MI) and Congressman Earl Blumenauer (D-OR), today sent a letter to Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Scott Pruitt, requesting information on the steps the EPA is taking to protect Americans, bees and other pollinators from harmful pesticides.

A quarter of everything we eat — from apples to zucchini — depends on pollination which means it depends on bees pollinating the crops. But beekeepers from around the world are reporting a the worst pandemic of a bee population collapse ever recorded. 

Chemical-giant Bayer which markets aspirin and Alka Seltzer, has toxic agricultural pesticides linked to this unprecedented bee die-off. The EPA has the power to ban the pesticides, but so far has bowed to pressure from Bayer. Our nation's food supply is at risk without our bees!
