What I have noticed actually is that after the initual large contract buys on various put strikes the option price will drop up to 30% fo even as long as a week or two. Very disconcerting as it often has led me to think the long put was a hedge. But tge truth is I think they don't give a d-mn about getting the best price, as are we small retail investors.
They're playing big and you can bet your bottom dollar they're hedging with futures.
I also am still not discounting a dramatic thrust up to shake out the bears.
