redwing99 ...

In my conversations with Robert about our video platform, he has always stressed high-resolution, high-quality and high margins ... commercial grade all the way. Now, I could be wrong, but I believe I heard Fred say,

"The royalties range from several dollars on the flash-based designs up to several hundred dollars on the audio-video platform."

When I read your post, and to be quite honest, I didn`t think beyond ... "In place of small rental payments, we negotiated substantial up-front per-unit royalties for our IFE devices." ... the pressing problem, IMO, is the need for cash, and I believe this will help immensely. I just hope everything tests out well, and we`re getting closer to finding that out with each passing day.

I don`t know if you caught my post earlier today on the other board, but I was very pleased to hear Fred say,

"Our IFE project remains on schedule, and we are working on announcements with several premier partners for release during the World Airline Entertainment Conference in early September. ... The IFE product is being developed, as far as the industrial design, and will be manufactured by Digitalway, our partner."

I would think the major airline and Twentieth Century Fox qualify for two of the "several premier partners" ......

Consequently, I`m inclined to believe that, if everything goes "as scheduled", there will, indeed, be a demand for our "Sky View" !!

I know this doesn`t answer your question, but I`m afraid that`s all I have to offer.

BTW, will definitely miss Serge ... don`t know anybody who plays harder than he does ... except for our Captain, of course !!
