#1038 RE: venomen2002 #1037

Veno, I was very excited about MCC last year but clearly the MSFT MCE OS isn't being used (as many of us thought it would be), In fact, even when people purchase a new PC with MCE, they revert back to the XP characteristics (from people I've talked with).

Also, the marketing push for MCE seems to be silenced for about 6 months now. Not sure why but the first attempt to market this was also a failure. One thing I can comment about was the hardware hookup was a pain in the butt. On the software side, I really need to spend more time with it, but haven't been motivated.

I'm not sure what Vista would offer over what's available now? It's clearly more security oriented.

This whole deal about the remote control is a joke to me. What is this remote control going to help us with? I have MCC, MCE and the MSFT remote with a green button already. That's what was sent to me when I bought the system from PCALHEMY. What would Onev's remote do that this wouldn't? The whole idea is to talk using the microphones (VR right?).

I was hoping that the other markets (MV and Home Automation) would kick in and help us reach some revenue requirements..but clearly this type of VR is having a hard time finding the markets. We may be a couple years away still. In which case the big company always wins. It's almost like they have a hand at freezing potential buyers until their product is ready. Remember I've seen this first hand working at 2 startups.

But I'm still long and hopefully Onev can get some contracts by the end of the year.

I asked about paying for it. I didn't suggest you give it up, just that you pay for it as any customer would.
