Care to explain this statement in detail? As someone who has
designed high speed memory interfaces and associated circuits
in the past I am most curious to hear your reasoning. As you might
guess I disagree.

Intel is telling everyone who will listen that they are going back to rDIMMs [i.e. registered DIMMs] in 2008 over about 90% of their server line.

Then surely you have a link where Intel actually says that, not just a tabloid?
